Installation Instructions

Here is what you need to do:

2. Download Easy Morph (URL provided at time of purchase)

4. The Easy Morph zip (ezmn.zip) was created with WinZip 7.0, and we strongly recommend WinZip 7 (or a later version, such as version 8) for use in extracting the archive. WinZip is the most powerful, and most widely distributed, archiving tool on the Internet.

   If you elect to use a different unzip program than WinZip, we cannot assist with the installation. The installation will probably work fine anyway, but there's no way we can be certain of that, as we've only tested with WinZip.

   You'll want to use WinZip in the classic mode. If your WinZip is in Wizard mode, you will not be able to follow this step-by-step set of instructions. Here's what the Wizard interface looks like, with the button you need to press to get it into Classic mode highlighted at the bottom left:

5. Press the Open button:
   

   ...and locate the downloaded ZIP file using the open file dialog. Press the Open button in the dialog, and WinZip will now look something like this:

   

6. Now, press the Extract button:
   

   ...you'll get the Extract Dialog:

   

   As shown, there are four key areas. Perform these actions:

   1. Ensure that the All Files radio button is selected.
   2. Ensure that only Use Folder Names is checked of the three checkboxes.
   3. Left-click once on the C: in the Folders/Drives list.
   4. Press the Extract button.

   This procedure will create a directory called nt9895 in the root of the C: hard drive, and will place the install program for Easy Morph in the root of the drive, so you'll find c:\install.exe

7. Run the install.exe program from the C:\ directory and follow the instructions it gives you.

   You can do this with the Windows 95 or 98 Start Menu's Run option. Press Start, then Run. This is what you get:

   

   Press the Browse, as shown, and locate the install.exe program in the C:\ directory. It may be called simply install if your Windows Explorer is configured to hide filename extensions, which is the default for windows installations. Select this program and run it.

   If you're pretty familiar with Windows Explorer, you can also use it to locate the install.exe or install file in C:\nt9895, and then simply double-click it to begin the installation.

   We strongly suggest you accept the defaults that the installer presents you with. This will help us a great deal if we have to provide you with any technical support. This is a very smart installer, and it installs the software according to Microsoft's published guidelines. It is also sophisticated enough to custom-configure the example morphing project for your installation.

8. Once Easy Morph is installed, run the program and select the Register item from the File menu. Type in your registered user name and the code we provided to you via e-mail when you purchased the product (or will receive when you do purchase it.) Then press OK, and the software should confirm your registration. At that point, you may begin using all the features of the software. There is extensive online documentation, and we definitely recommend that you read it over. Note that until you enter your personal registration code, some features of the software will not operate.

9. Once installation and registration are complete, you can delete c:\install.exe and the c:\nt9895 directory and all of its contents. Save the ezmn.zip file somewhere (for instance, on a CD-R ) in case you need to reinstall. Save your registration codes in the same place.
